PURPOSE: To automate the separation and dusting of stacked sheets by providing an air blowing device in the middle of a carrier consisting of two supporting plates which move carrying the stacked sheets while gradually increasing the distance between them.
CONSTITUTION: The sheets slide down a shooter 37 and first the sheets positioned at the lowermost end are delivered to a carrier 6 by means of a pushing device 36. Thus delivered sheets are held between supporting plates 21a, 21b on a guide pipe 20. When the sheets have been set in place on the carrier, motors 5a, 5b start operation to move the supporting plates 21a, 21b and the stack of sheets are carried backward passing through the jets of air coming out of air nozzles 35 in a piping member 33 striking the sheets from above and below as well as from left and right. The supporting plates 21a, 21b spread outward away from each other as they move while air forcing into between the sheets, thus separating and dusting the sheets.
