PURPOSE: To carry in and carry out a pallet to deliver automatically, securely, and providing no worker, by providing a winding machine, a basic fork to move up and down, and flexible forks to extend and contract laterally, to a running truck which reciprocates between a rack and a processing machine group.
CONSTITUTION: A stacker crane 6 furnishes a running truck 44 to reciprocate along a running passage combining the rack of a pallet P and a processing machine group, moves a fork device 50 up and down by a winding machine 47, and furnishes a basic fork 58 and flexible forks 59 and 60 which can extend and contract laterally, that is, horizontally, and carries in and out the pallet P by operating the flexible forks. Especially, since a locking means 67A to engage with a locking means provided to the pallet P, to allow to set a work at a specific position, is provided to the flexible fork 60, the pallet P can be carried in and out in the positioned condition, and furthermore, the pallet P can be moved while maintaining its positioned condition, when it is conveyed on the running passage by the stacker crane.
