To provide stacking chairs which can be piled one above the other a lot to be stored, make the thickness of a backrest as thin as possible as well as maintaining the support strength of the backrest and make the number of the chairs which can be piled up into maximum and the backrest can be attached to a frame easily.
The stacking chair includes a seat 4 and a backrest 5 which are attached to the seat support part 2 and the back support part 3 of a frame 1 of a metal bar. The back support part has backrest rods 8 which stand up at least on both the sides, and the backrest is constituted of a backrest plate 6 of steel sheet and a rear cover 7 made of plastic. The backrest plate and the rear cover have the thickness same as the diameter of the backrest rod or less and are prepared inside the back support part.
