To provide a stacking device for containers providing reduced noise and excellent durability, for stacking containers continuously at high speed.
In this stacking device, lock members 6 are attached to right and left endless chains 2 facing to rotate each other, and a guide rail 7 is disposed to lock containers B by projecting lock receiving members 6a of the lock members 6 in a direction of the containers B for a predetermined interval while the lock members 6 are moving on the containers B side. A support member 9 supporting the bottom of the stacked containers B is disposed to move forward and backward. The support member 9 moves back after the lock receiving members 6a lift the containers B to push up the bottom of the stacked containers B, the support member 9 moves forward to support the container B when the lock receiving members 6a move to an upper end of the predetermined interval, and then the lock receiving members 6a are tilted to deliver the containers B to the support member 9 and are separated from the containers B.
