PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stage device capable of reducing the time from a failure occurrence to a stop of normal winches.SOLUTION: A stage device 1 includes a plurality of local controllers 31, 32, 33, 34 for controlling a plurality of winches 21, 22, 23, 24 respectively, and a higher-order controller 11 for giving an instruction on operations of the winches 21, 22, 23, 24 to the local controllers 31, 32, 33, 34. The local controller 31 transmits a stop signal for instructing a stop to the other local controllers 32, 33, 34 when a failure occurs in the local controller 31 itself or the winch 21 driven by the local controller 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
