To provide a steel belt and a manufacturing method of the same having strength of a welded part equal or greater than an unwelded part and an even thickness, and also to provide a steel belt and a manufacturing method of the same which does not require a large capacity heat treating furnace in manufacturing, has a small dimension change amount caused by heat distortion by heat treatment, is easy to maintain a shape of a belt, easy to work finish such as cutting, and is manufactured at low cost.
Martensite precipitation hardening stainless steel which is given solid solution treatment is cut in an appropriate length, is heated to 350-600°C, and welded after cooling to form an endless belt. The welded part of the endless belt is heated at 350-600°C, and cooled. In other case, the martensite precipitation hardening stainless steel cut in an appropriate length is welded and formed in the endless belt, and then, partial heating at 350-600°C is repeated to treat the entire endless belt with heat.
