Title:
STAINLESS STEEL FOR ENAMELING AND PRE-TREATMENT OF THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3471415
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a stainless steel sheet for enameling good in adhesion by constituting a stainless steel of specified wt.% of C, Cr, Al and Fe and forming an oxidized film excellent in adhesive strengths bath to a metallic matrix and enamel on the surface.
CONSTITUTION: The componental compsn. of this stainless steel for enameling is constituted of the one contg. by weight, <0.02% C, 0.05 to 1.0% Si, 0.10 to 0.80% Mn, <0.01$ S, 15 to 30% Cr and 0.01 to 0.30% Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. By using this stainless steel sheet, oxidizing treatment is executed using a gaseous mixture of nitrogen contg. ≥75% hydrogen under the conditions satisfying 20≤X≤60, 600≤Y≤1000 and 0.5≤Z≤10; where X denotes the dew point (°C), Y denotes the heat treating temp. and Z denotes the heat treating time (h) to form an oxidized film on the surface of the stainless and to improve its enameling adhesion. Thus, stages causing adverse effects on the product capacity and production cost can be eliminated.
