Title:
STAINLESS STEEL-MADE WIRE FOR WARM FORGING, AND PLASTIC WORKING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010201496
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a stainless steel-made wire forging having excellent conduction heating property and warm lubricity and a plastic working method thereof, and to considerably reduce the manufacturing cost of a stainless steel-made component such as a cold-forged component, a non-magnetic component, and a high-strength component by consistently executing the warm forging of high productivity.

The austenitic stainless steel-made wire has a lubricating film having the friction coefficient of ≤0.3 at 300°C on its surface, the volume resistivity thereof is ≤1×10-5 Ω, and the wire is preferably used for manufacturing non-magnetic components. In the stainless steel for warm forging and the plastic working method thereof, the value M indicated by formula (a) is -80 to 100. The formula (a) is M=551-462(C+N)-9.2Si-8.1Mn-29(Ni+Cu)-13.7Cr-18.5Mo, where C, N, Mn, Ni, Cu, Cr, and Mo denote mass% of each component.
