Title:
STAINLESS STEEL STOCK FOR HIGH HARDNESS SOFT MAGNETIC PARTS IMPROVED IN WORKABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3664539
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a soft magnetic material having two-sidedness in hardness of being soft and enough in workability at the time of working into parts and being hard and enough in durability at the time of completion into the parts.
SOLUTION: This stainless steel stock for high hardness soft magnetic parts improved in workability has a chemical compsn. contg., by weigh, 0.004 to 0.070% C, 0.1 to <1.5% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, 9.0 to 17.0% Cr, 0.004 to 0.070% N, 0 to 1.0% Ni, 0 to 1.0% Al and 0 to 1.0% Ti, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. It shows the characteristics of having a metallic structure composed of >5vol.% martensitic phases, and the balance substantial ferritic phases and being soft so as to regulate its Hv to <140 at the time of working into parts and shows the characteristics of having 5 to 22vol.% martensite content, ≥140Hv hardness and ≥6,000G magnetic flux density B10 at the time of using the parts.
