To achieve a stainless steel having a predetermined corrosion resistance and high bondability.SOLUTION: A stainless steel according to an embodiment has a surface roughness Ra of 1.0 μm or less, has a pitting potential of 0.35 V(vsSCE) or more, and at least contains a ferrite phase and an austenite phase at 900-1200°C, where, the proportion of crystal grains with an aspect ratio of 0.5-1.0 is 40% or more of the whole aggregation of the crystal grains.SELECTED DRAWING: None
