To provide a stainproof article with advantages such as hardly permitting adhesion of fine substances, for example, dust, excellent removability of the adhering fine substance, and successful stainproofness and stain removability, even when the fine substance adheres to the stainproof article, as well as a method for manufacturing the stainproof article.

This stainproof article includes a cured condensed coat of silane containing a perfluoropolyether group represented by formula [1], on the surface of a base material. The fluorine concentration of the cure condensed coat is 0.2-2.0μg/cm². Also, the appropriate method for manufacturing the article is provided.
