Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stainproofing coating composition which gives a coating film whose surface exhibits hydrophilicity even just after being formed, is therefore excellent in the resistance to penetration by staining substances, and is useful for surface finishing by using a specified fluorocopolymer, a specified alkoxysilane, a specified alkyl silicate, and a specified polyisocyanate.
SOLUTION: This coating composition comprises 100 pts.wt. solvent-soluble fluorocopolymer (A) having a number-average molecular weight of 3,000-30,000, a fluorine content of 10-30wt.%, a hydroxyl value of 30-100 KOHmg/g and a glass transition temperature of 0-70°C, 0.1-20 pts.wt. alkoxysilane compound (B) containing a polyalkylene oxide chain having 2-40 repeating units and a weight-average molecular weight of 150-3,500, 1-40 pts.wt. at least either an alkyl silicate represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a 1-10C alkyl) or a condensate thereof (C), and a polyisocyanate (D) in an amount to give an equivalent ratio of the hydroxyl groups of fluorocopolymer A to the isocyanate groups of 0.6-1.5.
