To provide a staircase handrail which improves safety and eases a sense of fear on ascending/descending motion of the elderly, or the like, and reduces a load applied on bodies by devising in user friendliness to be easy in increasing force effectively.
A vertical handrail unit 1 comprised of a connection fixing member 11 with connection fixing means and a vertical handrail 12, and a transverse handrail unit 2 comprised of a connection member 21 with connection means and a transverse handrail 22, are arranged alternately at about 90 cm intervals according to the number of stairs, to be formed stepwise. Also, means that enables vertical movements 12a and 22a of the vertical handrail 12 and the transverse handrail 22 in order to set an optimum handrail height to be held, is provided.
