To provide a stairs lifting device capable of lifting a heavy load on stairs.
This stairs lifting device is formed as a three-stage structure by mutually independently horizontally movably arranging a lower stage movable carriage 10, its upper intermediate stage movable carriage 20 and its further upper loading space 30. A plurality of legs 1 to 8 are respectively installed on the intermediate stage movable carriage and the lower stage movable carriage. Vertically driving devices 111 to 114 for changing a distance (the effective length) up to the intermediate movable carriage or the lower stage movable carriage from these lower ends, are arranged on the plurality of respective legs or with every leg group being the same position in the horizontally moving direction. Horizontally driving devices 40 and 50 for independently horizontally driving the respective loading space and lower stage movable carriage via the intermediate stage movable carriage, are arranged on the loading space, the intermediate stage movable carriage or the lower stage movable carriage. The vertically driving devices and the horizontally driving devices are controlled by a control device 100, thereby performing automatic lifting on stairs.
