Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stairway elevator that can safely ascend a stairway.SOLUTION: A stairway elevator 1 comprises a correction position computing unit 762 for computing a correction position to change the position of a chair 32 on a mounting part 30 from a basic position toward a wall side of the stairway. Since this correction causes the position of the chair 32 to be changed toward the wall side of the stairway when a position of an object on the chair 32 changes, the center of gravity of the stairway elevator 1 including the object moves toward the direction to which the chair is ascending (to front) to give a crew member a sense of safety which facilitates stable stairway ascending.
