To provide a stand apparatus where the inclination and height of an article holder can easily be adjusted in spite of a simple structure dispensing with a metal fitting etc., there is no obstacle covering the center part etc. of the surface of an opened book, and natural warmth is felt in its touch and impression of its appearance.

The stand apparatus A comprises: a support member 1; and an arm member 2 supported by the support member 1. The arm member 2 has an article holder 3 for holding an article B. The support member 1, the arm member 2 and the article holder 3 are formed of wood material. The support member 1 is provided with holes 12 for height adjustment bored at necessary intervals in a vertical direction. The arm member 2 which is inserted to the hole 12 is pivotally supported in an attachable and detachable manner and in a manner of being turnable in a peripheral direction.
