To provide a stand for supporting a rotary working machine in mounting or dismounting a traveling machine body with the rotary working machine equipped with a chain case on the side of the machine body, capable of supporting the working machine in a proper detachable posture without the need of any especially troublesome adjusting operation by merely bringing the stand to a lowered support position, and also enabling the chain case to be protected by bringing the stand from the support position to a housing position.

The upper side of a stand 16 is provided on the side of a rotary cover 14 close to a chain case 10 so as to be rotatable between a lowered support position for supporting a rotary working machine 2 and an upwardly inverted housing position, and formed nearly symmetrically with the lower side of the chain case 10 to serve the stand 16 at the upwardly inverted housing position as a protective cover for the chain case 10.
