To provide a standing and laying bed where a leg frame, a back frame, and a head frame constituting an upper frame can be raised at a desired standing and laying angle by one standing and laying means.
The standing and laying shaft 42 of a standing and laying device 40 constituting the standing and laying bed 10 is stretch-operated to previously turn the head frame 34 to the standing and laying angle θ1 where the head of a user is supported in the state of being pulled up in an attitude facing upward nearly obliquely and to regulate turning of the head frame 34 at the angle. Next, the side adjacent to the head frame 34 of the back frame 33 is lifted by push up force of the standing and laying shaft 42 to turn the whole part of the back frame 33 and the head frame 34 to a desired standing and laying angle θ2 where the upper half of the body of the user is supported in the state of being pulled up in an attitude facing upward nearly obliquely while supporting the head of the user in a stable and comfortable attitude facing upward nearly obliquely by the head frame 34.
