Abstract:
To provide a Staphylococcus aureus-derived protein comprising an amino acid sequence and the corresponding nucleotide sequence.
The Staphylococcus aureus-derived protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence, a protein having 50% or more sequence identity with the protein, and a nucleic acid molecule encoding the proteins, are provided, respectively. These proteins include homologues, orthologs, allele variants and functional variants. These proteins are useful for vaccines, immunogenic compositions, diagnostic studies, enzymatic studies, and as targets for antibiotics.
