PURPOSE: To reduce the entire cost of metal fittings to a large extent by bending an iron plate, sharpening the distal end of one side and perforating a nail hole at the other side.

CONSTITUTION: The distal end 7 of one side of a staple 3 is sharpened. A nail hole 4 is perforated at the other side 8. The staple 3 is used in fixing the metal fitting 2 for construction metal parts. When in use, the metal fitting 2 is retained by the staple 3. The staple 3 is fixed together with the metal fitting 2 by a nail driven in from above the staple. By separating the staple from the fitting in such a way, the staple can be used in a wide range, hence produced in large quantity at lower cost. Moreover, as there is no projection such as the staple on the fitting, it is easy to process the fitting at low cost.
