The stapler driving device is equipped with: an electric power supply part for supplying the electric power to the motor of a stapler having a starting process for starting supply of electric power to the motor which is a driving source of stapling operation when the stapler performing the stapling operation is in an initial state, a pressing process for pressing a bundle constituted by a plurality of overlapped recording media, a binding process for inserting a staple into the bundle and bending the staple, and a return process for returning to the initial state after binding the bundle, in the stapling operation; and an electric power control part for making the electric power supply part supply rated power of the motor to the motor in the binding process, and making the electric power supply part supply the electric power lower than the rated power to the motor in the pressing process and the return process.
