Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain the post-processing such as high-productivity stapling without requiring the position adjustment of a stapling machine according to the sheet size.
CONSTITUTION: This stapling position control device is provided with an image forming controller 2 controlling an image formation section 1, a post-processing controller 3, a sheet sensor 4 detecting a sheet delivered from the image formation section 1, a stapling machine control means 5 controlling a stapling machine, a stapling position judging means 6 judging the stapling position based on the stapling position data set in the image forming controller 2, and a guide fence control means 7 setting the position of the guide fence of a sheet aligning means based on the control of the stapling position judging means 6. The guide fence control means 7 selects the sheet aligning reference position of the guide fence for sheet alignment in response to the judgment on whether the stapling position is one corner position or multiple positions.
