PURPOSE: To provide a starch paste for the manufacturing of decorative sheet, having excellent storage stability and capable of forming uniform film by coating, and containing processed starch and an acetylenic ether derivative at a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: An etherified starch (≥10wt% of the whole paste composition) and an acetylenic ether derivative (e.g. alkynediol, alkynol, etc.) (0.01W5wt%) are dispersed in cold water, added properly with an age resistor (e.g. sodium benzoate), an antiseptic agent (e.g. dehydroacetic acid derivative), etc., stirred at 80W90°C for ≥30min to obtain a solution, and cooling under stirring to obtain the objective starch paste for the manufacturing of a decorative sheet.

EFFECT: It can be applied stably, and gives a crazed pattern having adjustable size and shape of the craze. The time for the manufacturing of the decorative sheet can be shortened.
