Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control method of a synchronous motor which has excellent start performance and can put the motor into a commutation mode in a short time.
SOLUTION: An AC current with a prescribed frequency is applied to a field winding 81 of a synchronous motor 8 by an inverter 91 to start the synchronous motor 8. The terminal voltage of the field winding 81 of the synchronous motor 8 at the starting time is detected. A voltage wave component according to the AC current given by the inverter is deducted from the detected voltage to correct the waveform in order to recognize a voltage wave component produced by a counter electromotive force (110). After the corrected waveform is integrated (111) and converted into a square waveform (111), the phase difference between the square waveform and an output of a 120° applied current waveform generating circuit 102 is detected by a phase difference detection circuit and is fed back.
