A memory image storage control part 300 stores initial start data showing the storage content (memory image) of a main memory 130 just after the initial start according to a conventional procedure or the swap data to a hard disc device 54 in initial start processing in the hard disc device 54 by use of hibernation function. A memory image recovery control part 310 reads back the initial start data stored in the hard disc device 54 to the main memory 130 by use of the hibernation function, thereby starting the apparatus in the initial state.
