To reduce an electric power consumption of a heater and shorten a starting time by facilitating vaporization of an injection fuel in a system of injecting a fuel heated by the heater on engine start-up.
When a fuel heating domain is determined on engine start-up, after electrification of a fuel heating heater is started, a throttle opening is controlled around full closing and electrification of a starter is permitted to start cranking. At that time, the fuel injection is prohibited until a predetermined time T2 elapses with the throttle opening controlled around full closing, thereby starting the fuel injection and facilitating the vaporization of the injection fuel with an intake pipe pressure reduced by the cranking and a temperature inside a tube increased by the heat of compression of air inside the tube. Further, the vaporization of the injection fuel is securely facilitated by changing an intake pipe pressure reduction effect and a temperature inside the tube increase effect by the cranking by changing a rotation speed of the starter corresponding to a change in vaporization characteristics of the fuel in response to the alcohol concentration of the fuel and a cooling water temperature.
