Abstract:
To simplify a structure of an output member and reduce manufacturing costs of a start device.SOLUTION: A start device includes: a case connected to a power input shaft to which power from an engine is transmitted; an output member connected to a power transmission shaft; and a hydraulic clutch which is disposed within the case and can connect the case with the output member. The hydraulic clutch includes: a clutch plate which includes an annular plate and friction materials bonded to both surfaces of the annular plate and rotates integrally with the case; a piston which is supported by the output member in an axially movable manner so as to contact with the friction material bonded to the one surface of the annular plate; and an elastic plate which is connected to the output member so as to contact with the friction material bonded to the other surface of the annular plate, defines an oil chamber with the piston, and defines an oil passage communicating with the oil chamber and an oil supply passage formed at the power transmission shaft with the output member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
