Title:
START MAT FOR PARK GOLF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001017603
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To assure high safety and to obtain excellent water permeability by laminating artificial grass on an impact absorbing subsurface material formed by assembling small rubber piece, thereby making it possible to absorb impact even if a tee ground is directly struck by a club.

The start mat A for park golf consists of the artificial grass 1 of an approximately regular quadrangle shape in the upper part and the shock absorbing subsurface material 2 of an approximately regular quadrangle shape in the lower part. The grass extends upward atop the artificial grass 1. On the other hand, the shock absorbing subsurface material which is made of the small rubber pieces of coarse particles and is formed by cutting used tires, etc., to form relatively coarse particles (2 to 4 mm) and molding these particles to a sheet form by pressurizing with a hot press is used as the shock absorbing subsurface material 2. Adhesives of an epoxy system are applied like grids to the rear surface of such artificial grass 1 and the front surface of the shock absorbing subsurface material 2 and both 1 and 2 are adhered to produce the required start part A. The central part thereof is provided with a rubber tee 4.
