Abstract:

To provide a model engine starter for quickly releasing engagement of a drive portion and a connection pin when a model engine starts.

This comprises a rotary drive mechanism 31, a pulley 41 rotated by the rotary drive mechanism, a hub 51 integrally and coaxially rotating with the pulley 41 and provided with an inclined guide groove 53 inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to an axis, a starter shaft 61 rotatably extending through the hub 51, a pin 71 attached to the starter shaft 61 and shifting in an axial direction of the hub 51 along a guide front face 54 and a guide rear face 55 forming the inclined guide groove 53 and a protrusion 64 formed at a front end of the starter shaft 61, engaging with and disengaging from the connection pin P provided on a crank shaft C of the model engine E.
