Abstract:
To provide a starter for an outboard motor capable of operating a driven mechanism driven by an actuator even during the stopping of an internal combustion engine and preventing a battery from going dead.
An ignition switch 48 comprises a start position (ST) for starting an engine by supplying battery voltage (operating voltage supplied from the battery 46) to a starter motor 170; an ON position (ON) for supplying the battery voltage to an electrical load necessary to operate the engine; a first OFF position (OFF1) for shutting down the supply of the battery voltage to the electrical load to stop the engine; and a second OFF position (OFF2) for supplying the battery voltage to a steering motor 38 in stopping the engine.
