To provide a starter of a rotary throttle valve type carburetor capable of coping with changes of temperature of an engine in a wide range.
This starter supports an operation member 15 by a supporting body 14 provided integrally on a lid body 5 attached to a carburetor main body 1 to displace in the direction of axial line in which it comes into contact with and leaves a lever member 4 fixed on a valve shaft 3b of a turning valve element 3 and rotate in the peripheral direction freely. An engaging part 15a for start at normal temperature and an engaging part 15b for start at low temperature by each face for double face taking are provided in a tip part of the operation member. Guide channels 16a, 16b in the direction of each axial line and a guide channel 16c in the radial direction corresponding to each engaging part are provided. Guide pins 17 engaging with each channel are provided on a supporting member side. This starter adaptable to a wide range of temperature including at least low temperature, normal temperature, and high temperature can be realized by matching with amount of fuel injection at normal temperature start time and low temperature start time by setting it to amount of fuel injection at idling operation time in a condition in which the operation member leaves and is disengaged and changing amount of displacement in the direction of axial line of the lever member by engagement of each engaging part.
