To provide a starter unit achieved in the stable drive of a starter even if a commercial power source is used as a power source.
The starter unit includes a starter 2 for starting an engine, and a power supply part 3 for supplying power to the starter 2 where the starter 2 includes a starter motor 24 and a first switching part 40 for switching the connection and disconnection of the starter motor 24 and the power supply part 3. The first switching part 40 includes a movable core and a coil wrapped around the movable core. The connection and disconnection of the starter motor 24 and the power supply part 3 are switched by a current flowing in the coil. The power supply part 3 is provided among a power adjusting part 60 for stepping down the power of the power source 10 and supplying it to the starter 2, the power source 10, and the starter 2, and includes a second switching part 11 for switching the connection and disconnection of the power source 10 to the starter 2.
