Title:
STARTING CONTROL DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3412375
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve startability by a method wherein fuel injection from a fuel injection means is delayed while after the starting of cracking, an actual injection timing of fuel coincides with a target injection timing.
CONSTITUTION: When an operator gives a starting command, a control unit 18 starts an engine by cracking in a state to cut off a fuel cut valve 10. In this case, by referring to output signals from a water temperature sensor 13 and a crank angle sensor 14, a target injection timing is set based on a starting injection timing control map. An actual injection timing actually measured by a timer position sensor 30 is compared with a target injection timing, and when a deviation therebetween exceeds a given value, a fuel cut valve 10 is closed, cracking is continued in such a state to cut off fuel, and when the deviation approximately coincides with a given value or less, a fuel cut valve 10 is opened to inject fuel. When an engine rotation speed is increased to a value higher than a given value, starting increase control is stopped and transfer to normal fuel injection control is executed.
