Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten a starting time and to satisfy a desired time, by a method wherein the thermal stress of a rotor surface is monitored, and when the thermal stress is a compression stress and attains a prescribed hold operation start value, the existent operating condition is held, and when attaining a prescribed hold operation releasing value, the starting is effected again. CONSTITUTION:When a turbine is started, the desired value of a steam draft temperature at a turbine inlet and a starting pattern of a series of the startings from turbine draft up to the desired loading are definitely determined from the metal temperature of the inner wall of the casing, after the first-step of the draft of a turbine. Also, it is decided whether the thermal stress of a rotor surface, produced by the starting of a turbine, is within an allowable stress value which is a value including a certain margin to the value equivalent to a designed life consumption. If it is not within said value, it is decided whether the form of the thermal stress is a tension or a compression stress, and when it is the compression stress, the existent operating condition is held. Further, when it is the tension stress, the operation of the turbine is continued according to a desired starting pattern.
