Abstract:
PURPOSE:To start smoothly suppressing excess current, by controlling load- dispatching capacity, load-dispatching time, and load-dispatching cycle optionally according to the load of a motor. CONSTITUTION:The starting circuit 2 of an induction motor 1 is organized by connecting a power source switch 3 and a full-voltage applying switch 4 in series. Then, the starter 6 of a sillicon control rectifier (thyristor) 5 is provided in parallel with the full-voltage applying switch 4, and load is dispatched to the starting circuit 2 through a route separated from the full-voltage applying switch route. To the starter 6, a controller 8 for detecting the rotational frequency of the induction motor 1 with a tachometer 7 and for providing control signal for the gate of the thyristor 5 is connected, and the starter 6 is controlled with the feedback of the rotational frequency of the motor. When the rotational energy comes to a specified rotational frequency, the full-voltage applying switch 4 is turned On in place of the starter 6, and steady-state operation is started. In this manner, excess current is suppressed for smooth start, and the starting time is shortened, and loss power is reduced.
