Title:
STARTING DEVICE FOR SINGLE-PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3272472
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption by connecting a positive characteristic thermister for starting and control means for interrupting a start winding current upon completion of starting in series to the start winding.
CONSTITUTION: If a power supply voltage is applied, a gate current flows through an auxiliary thermister 37, a Triac 36 turns on, a current flows to a starting winding 33, a motor 30 is started, a starting thermister 35 has a high resistance when steady state approaches, and the current through the starting winding 33 decreases. And the auxiliary thermister 37 also gains a high resistance, the gate current decreases, triac 36 is turned off, and the starting is completed. By doing this, the current through the starting winding 33 flows through the auxiliary thermister having the high resistance in steady state operation, and the power consumption is reduced. And these parts in the starting device are housed in a case 51 including an overload relay 34.
