Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve responsiveness of lock-up by suppressing variation in stroke amount of a lock-up piston, in a device including a single-plate type lock-up clutch.SOLUTION: A start device includes: a friction abutment surface 81a of a friction material 81 abutting on a front cover 3 at the time of lock-up; and a snap ring 36 for positioning a lock-up piston 80 by abutting on a surface 80a at a side opposite to a surface to which the friction material 81 of the lock-up piston 80 is attached so that a distance in an axial direction to an opposite surface 33a of the front cover 3 opposite to the friction abutment surface 81a does not exceed a prescribed range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
