Abstract:
To provide a starting device which enables improvement of controllability of a clutch which connects an input member and an output member of the starting device while achieving reduction of the number of components and costs of the starting device.SOLUTION: A starting device of the disclosure includes a clutch which may connect an input member with an output member. The clutch includes: an annular plate which rotates with the output member; a piston which is supported by the input member so as to face one surface of the annular plate and be movable in an axial direction and which defines an engagement oil chamber with the input member; and a plate member which extends from the axial side of the input member to the radial outer side in a gap formed between a turbine runner connected to the output member and the piston in the axial direction, is fixed to the input member so as to face the other surface of the annular plate, and defines a release oil chamber with the piston.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
