Abstract:

To provide a starting method and starting device of a computer and a computer system for checking whether or not a self-diagnostic test of a CPU of the computer is normally performed.

At starting, it is confirmed that the temperature of the computer 1 is within an operation guarantee range. Whether or not the self-diagnostic test (POST) performed by the CPU 3 of the computer 1 is normally performed is checked by a CPU 13 of a start confirmation device 2 connected to the computer 1. When the self-diagnostic test of the computer 1 is normal, the CPU 13 starts the computer 1. When the self-diagnostic test of the computer 1 is abnormal, the CPU 13 repeatedly starts the computer 1.
