Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress the charging currents of a capacitor in the case when turning a power supply ON by connecting only a line selected among AC input lines in parallel with a main contactor for starting in a suppressor circuit of the charging currents of the capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When a breaker 1 is turned ON and the contactor 4 of a suppressor circuit is turned ON while a converter 7 is left as it is held under a stopping state, a smoothing capacitor 6 is charged through suppressing resistor 5 and the two phases of a rectifier 3. After the capacitor is charged, the main contactor 2 is turned ON, and the converter 7 is started. Accordingly, the man- hours of wiring are reduced, and the number of parts can be decreased.
