Title:
STATE DETECTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01129520
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To correctly decide the divergence of a digital transversal type equalizer(TEQL) by deciding that the TEQL has diverged, when at least one coefficient of coefficients of plural multipliers takes the maximum value of positive or negative, and also, the frequency by which a ratio detector drops into an I pattern opening part exceeds a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of an A/D converter 1 and flip-flops FF 2, 3 are multiplied by integral values of integrators 10-12, namely, coefficients by multipliers 4-6. As for a detection as to whether the coefficient is +1 or -1, the uppermost bit is inverted by an inverter 224, and thereafter, +1 and -1 are detected by an AND gate 221 and an AND gate 222 with an input inversion, respectively. Subsequently, by using OR gates 223, 241, whether at least one coefficient is +1 or -1 is decided. Also, by taking AND with the output of a ratio detector 23 by an AND gate 242, the divergence of a TEQL is decided. In such a way, even if said frequency exceeds a prescribed value due to heat noise, unless the coefficient takes the maximum value, it is not decided that the TEQL has diverged, and the divergence of the TEQL can be decided correctly.
