Title:
STATIC PRESSURE GAS BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3860253
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the uniformization of a pressure distribution by installing a porous body in an air hole, forming a pocket in a sealing member sealing the surface, and making up plural piece of orifices in this pocket.
SOLUTION: An air inlet chamber 12 to which compressed gas is supplied is installed in an inmost position from an end face 11a of a shaft 11, and for example, six circular air holes 13 being interconnected to this air inlet chamber 12 is formed in the end face 11a. A circular porous body 14 is embedded in the air hole 13, and as sealing member sealing the air hole 13, for example, glass 15 is stuck to the end face 11a by means of coating or the like in proper thickness. The porous body 14 is provided with a large ventilating factor making pressure gas out of the air inlet chamber 12 flow sufficiently around, and such rigidity as preventing the glass 15 from being deformed to any variations in gas pressure in a bearing clearance, respectively. In addition, a pocket 16 of the same form as the air hole 13 is installed on a surface of the glass 15 at the same position, and for example, three orifices 17 are installed in this pocket at regular intervals, interconnecting them to the porous body 14. With the abovementioned, a pressure distribution can be uniformized.
