Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promote flowing of exhaust gas at a bearing end by providing fine grooves outside a bearing clearance and in the vicinity of a bearing end on the opposite side to the direction of peripheral velocity of a rotary member with respect to the direction of discharging gas. CONSTITUTION:A bearing bush 1 is fixed to the inside of a housing 2. A bearing end journal portion 7 is provided on the end of a bearing journal portion 6 and disposed inside the bearing bush 1. Fine grooves 8 are disposed on the cylindrical surface of the bearing end journal portion 7 in such a manner as to make an acute angle theta on the opposite side to the axial direction, that is, the direction of discharging gas and to the direction of peripheral velocity of the bearing end journal portion 7. Gas supplied from an air duct is passed from a connecting groove 4 through a very small clearance among the air duct hole 3, the bearing bush 1 and a bearing journal portion 6 to be discharged at the bearing end. At this time, if the shaft is in the state of rotating, discharged gas is accelerated while passing the fine grooves 8.
