PURPOSE: To provide a wound iron core with high stiffness while preventing a magnetic characteristic from lowering by providing the lower clamp supporting the wound iron core and the upper clamp connected to the lower clamp with a clamping seat each while clamping the clamping plates and the clamping seats arranged in the insides of the up and down yoke parts of the wound iron core.
CONSTITUTION: A clamping seat 16 projecting outside is provided on the side of the lower clamp 15, while a clamping seat 19 projecting outside is provided also on the side of the upper clamp 18. Clamping plates 24 and 27 consisting of an insulating material are arranged respectively on the inside of a reinforcing frame 13 corresponding to the upper and lower yoke parts of a winding iron core 11, while both end parts of these clamping plates and the clamping seats 16 and 19 of the upper and lower clamps are connected with clamping bolts 25, 28 and nuts 26, 29. By clamping these clamping bolts and nuts, the wound iron core 11 receives the vertically expanding force through the reinforcing frame 13 while being, as a result, clamped and fixed by a control of a clamping band. Thereby, the wound iron core can be supported with heightened stiffness to exhibit an excellent magnetic characteristic.
