Abstract:
To provide a stator assembly for a gas turbine engine.
The stator assembly includes (a) an outer shroud 38 having a circumferential directional array of outer slots 54, (b) an inner shroud 40 having a circumferential directional array of inner slots 66, (c) a plurality of airfoil-shaped vanes 42 extended between the inner and outer shrouds 40, 38, and having inner and outer ends received in the inner and outer slots, and (d) an annular elastic holding ring 44 engaged with the inner end of each vane 42 and for energizing the inner end along a radial-directional inward direction.
