In a so formed eccentric screw pump, the female screw-form inner surface 7 formed of the elastomer E and extending to the outside of the end face 19 of the outer cylinder 9, and the end faces 19 of the outer cylinder 9 are formed such that a plurality of unit stators 8A and 8B covered with the elastomer E are intercoupled such that the elastomers E to cover the end faces 19 are brought into contact with each other to constitute the starter 8.
