Title:
STATOR FOR TORQUE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3604110
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make each blade thin in thickness while keeping its strength, and enhance performance for both a stator of a torque converter and the torque converter itself.
SOLUTION: This stator 6 is equipped with an annular shell 11, and annular core 12, and with a blade 13. The core 12 is disposed at the outer circumferential side of the shell 11. The blade 13 is formed between the shell 11 and the core 12, a plurality of the blades are arranged in the circumferential direction, the blade is extended from the shell 11 to the core 12 in such a say that the outer circumferential part of the shell 11 is connected with the inner circumferential part of the core 12, a change rate of a cross sectional area is changed at a position extended from the shell 11 by 1/6 to 1/2 of a distance (r2-r1) between the outer circumferential part of the shell 11 and the inner circumferential part of the core 12, and the cross sectional area at the side of the shell 11 is greater than the cross sectional area at the side of the core 12, as for the cross sectional area for a portion at the side of the shell 11 in the inner side of the aforesaid position.
