Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stave cooler and a blast furnace that are capable of elongating product life without increasing costs.SOLUTION: A stave cooler 100 comprises a body 102 made of a rolled sheet of copper or copper alloy disposed with a gap retained on an inner peripheral surface of a furnace wall 6a of a blast furnace. Cooling passages 112a, 112b, 112c, and 112d that permit communication of a cooling medium are formed inside the body 102. In an installation state in which the body 102 is disposed on the inner peripheral surface of the furnace wall 6a, the stave cooler 100 has a positional relationship that the cooling passages 112b and 112c lying on a central side are closer to the furnace wall 6a than the cooling passages 112a and 112d respectively lying on both side surfaces 102c.
