Title:
STEAM DISCHARGE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01169264
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To unnecessitate a pressure safety valve and prevent damage to an air pipe even when the clogging occurs by providing a silencer which is mounted to the main body of a steam discharge port so as to have a communication with the main body and which has many holes to pass steam and is cylindrical and has a bottom with a thin wall section in part of it.

CONSTITUTION: The water that is heated in a steam generator separates out a scale ingredient and is sent with the steam to a steam discharge device. As the time of use passes, the scale 14 attaches the inner face of a silencer 4 and the multi-hole section gradually to cause clogging. This clogging raises the pressure applied to the inside and it finally becomes P2. At this time the thin wall section 4a provided in the silencer 4 is broken by the pressure P2 and it opens. The silencer pieces 4b and steam are thereby discharged into the water to reduce the inner pressure and the pressure returns to P1.
