To prevent superheating of a steam generating device to drip liquid on a heating body and bring liquid into vaporized steam, to enhance safety of an apparatus, and to high-efficiently and instantaneously generate a large quantity of steam.
A steam generating device comprises a heating means 10 to gasify liquid; a liquid forced feed means 21 to feed liquid 10 with a pressure to the heating means; and a control means 31 to control the heating means 10 and the liquid forced feed means 21, and controls heating operation and the operation time of the liquid forced feed means 21. The heating means 10 is operated after a state that liquid is fed from the liquid forced feed means 21 to a heating part. The heating means 10 comprises a heating chamber 11 to heat liquid or gas; an exciting coil 13 arranged at the heating chamber 11; and a heat generating body 14 to generate heat through the change of a magnetic field generated by the exciting coil 13, the heating means being formed such that liquid is dripped on the heat generating body 14 by the liquid forced feed means 21 and steam is generated.
